Hank's group workshop

Graduate students Leili Sreberny-Mohammadi & Sophie Feyder discuss their work with artist Hank Willis Thomas

15 November 2010

Center for Contemporary Art (CBK) Dordrecht

The Netherlands

UNFIXED Projects invited graduate and end exam students in arts practice, art history, visual culture and theory to an intimate workshop with keynote speaker Kobena Mercer, the artists of the UNFIXED exhibition and the curators. The workshop focused on photography in relation to subjects such as culture, identity, migration, diaspora and colonialism. We encouraged students whose work and research relate to these subjects and neighboring themes to apply. We used the day for a hands-on discussion, in which the students’ own work as researchers, writers and artists was viewed, considered and discussed.

Student participants:

Sara Rosa Espi (ZA), Sophie Feyder (LU), Tasha Finn (AU), Massimiliano Fusari (IT), Rosie Heinrich (UK/NL), Annabel Hesselink (NL), Erika Larsson (SE), Sandim Mendes (NL), Kathleen Reinhardt (DE), Natalie Robertson (NZ), Ohad Ben Shimon (IL/FR), Nadine Siegert (DE), Natasa Siencnik (AT), Atêf Sitanala (NL), Leili Sreberny-Mohammadi (UK), Ambrose Naqeeb Stevens (US)
